The roadmap — what's coming next

For players

We're working on a more intuitive and streamlined Inventory UI, making it easier to organize equipment, manage items, and focus on the adventure instead of the interface.

For Game Masters

Game Masters will see several quality-of-life improvements, including:

• UI refinements to make campaign management even smoother.
• A growing collection of new NPCs ready to drop into your adventures. On a brand-new campaign, leave Include default NPCs on when you save — it's easier to trim extras than to invent a cast from scratch.
• We intend to make the growing list easier to navigate and search.

On the horizon

While fantasy will always have a home in RPGMeister, we're already looking beyond it.

Pulp adventures (1920–1940)

Our first step into a new genre is the thrilling world of pulp adventure, where danger lurks around every corner and heroes are larger than life.

Imagine adventures featuring:

• Powerful crime families ruling the underworld.
• Hard-boiled detectives and relentless G-men.
• Masked vigilantes protecting the innocent.
• Sinister supervillains with world-changing ambitions.
• Vampires who have survived since the Victorian era, adapting to a changing world.
• Mad scientists creating impossible inventions.
• Secret societies, ancient relics, occult mysteries, and globe-spanning expeditions.

It's a world where noir, horror, mystery, and high adventure collide.

Future worlds

Depending on what the community wants most, RPGMeister could also expand into entirely new settings, including:

• Space opera — epic galactic adventures, starships, alien civilizations, smugglers, empires, and exploration beyond the stars.
• Post-apocalyptic — survive in the ruins of civilization, rebuild communities, scavenge forgotten technology, and face the dangers of a broken world.
• Cyberpunk — neon megacities under corporate rule, hackers in the datasphere, street samurai with chrome bodies, personal AIs, downloadable skills, and conspiracies where technology is both triumph and prison.
• Wild West — the post–Civil War frontier of dusty towns, cattle drives, and railroads; bounty hunting, outlaws, riverboat poker, hard settlements, and carving out a legend in the untamed West.
