๐ Player Guide
How to use the RPG Meister app as a player โ from your first character to rolling dice at the table.
What this guide covers
This is the app manual for players: screens, buttons, and workflows. It does not teach the game rules โ those live on the website under Rules overview.
Skimming the rules first pays off. Even a quick pass over dice rolls, skills, and combat gives you a feel for how the system works before you tap through character creation. You do not need to memorise everything; come back when a stat or move confuses you.
Character-building advice and sample heroes sit under Designing your hero if you want examples alongside the rules.
Experiment with characters
Feel free to build heroes in the app just to learn the editor โ nothing you save is sent anywhere, and you can delete experiments whenever you like.
Your roster lives in browser storage only. Before clearing site data or switching devices, use Export all on the roster and keep the JSON somewhere safe.
When a character is meant for a real campaign, tailor them to what your game master and fellow players are doing: setting, tone, party gaps, and any house rules. The app does not know your table's story; you do.

On a widescreen, keep this guide open in one tab and open the app in a new tab so you can read and click without losing your place.
